For the release of Depeche Mode's latest album, I designed an augmented reality (AR) effect. In downtown Los Angeles, a billboard became an interactive experience. Viewers could scan it to activate a dynamic 3D visual: large text, styled in a striking 3D effect, bursts forth, revealing a live countdown to the album's release. This spectacle was enveloped in a nostalgic '90s VHS aesthetic, adding a retro charm to the cutting-edge technology. The fusion of past and present in this AR display created a memorable and engaging celebration of Depeche Mode's new music milestone.
